Computer Recycling
The
Regional Electronics Initiative (REI) is made up of 11 not-for-profit community
based computer refurbishment centres across Yorkshire and is co-ordinated and
supported by SWAP (Save Waste and Prosper, a Leeds-based environmental
consultancy).
All of the REI centres collect redundant IT equipment from businesses and other
organisations and refurbish it for the benefit of community groups, educational
establishments and householders in need, as well as providing training
opportunities and personal development for the long term unemployed and people
with disabilities.
